Throughout her life, she has written and performed songs and poetry, including three one woman shows. Adrienne has produced two CDs of songs and poems and has worked in many different countries.

Her poems vary tremendously from comedic to dark as do her songs.

Once up in Heaven

Between Heaven and Earth there was a glass ceiling

Which shattered

So the angels had to tread with care

Some of the pieces fell down to earth

And settled in the grass and in the sea, in the fields and on the mountains

And when we woke we too had to tread with care

Though we didn’t know why

And all the little birds sang

With fire in their throats

They are singing, they are singing with their throats on fire

They are singing with their throats on fire

At the bottom of the ocean is a black book

With a million words written in blood

And as the currents turn the pages

the words float away on the tide

up to the surface where they can be heard

as a whisper on the breeze

and the mermaids sang with fire in their throats

They are singing, they are singing with their throats on fire

They are singing with their throats on fire

So the glass ceiling shattered

down down into the world

and the black book bled its words

out out into the world

and the angels sing with fire in their throats

They are singing they are singing with their throats on fire

They are singing with their throats on fire
